In December 2013, Canada's National Energy Board approved the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline. The proposed 1,200 km pipeline would carry bitumen oil from the tar sands of Alberta to coast of British Columbia. Ben West is tar sands campaign director with Forest Ethics Advocacy, one of the organizations in the campaign to stop the pipeline. There's more information at forestethicsadvocacy.ca.
