SINCE ITS EMERGENCE ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO, "OCCUPY WALL STREET" HAS GAINED MAINSTREAM POPULARITY BY DENOUNCING THE UNPUNISHED CORRUPTION OF THE NATIONS FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS. AS IT SOON FACED WIDESPREAD POLICE REPRESSION, SOME IN THE MOVEMENT PROPOSED THAT JAILING A FEW BANKERS WOULD MEAN COLLABORATING WITH A SYSTEM, WHICH RELIES ON MASS INCARCERATION. THIS PAST WEDNESDAY, THE ONLINE NOTED FIGURES FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE CAME TO THE BRECHT FORUM TO DISCUSS THE AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM. WBAI FRED NGUYEN WAS THERE AND HE FILED THIS REPORT:
