DJ Flip speaks with visual artist Elisha Lim. Lim talks about their identity as a queer person of colour and its impacts on their art as well as their recent visit to Kingston. From their multitude of projects such as the new universal calendar Sissy, the illustrated documentary 100 Percent with Thea Lim and “God Loves Queers” with Brooklyn Boihood’s Genesis Tremaine, Lim discusses their experiences with the term sissy, race and religion.

For more information on Elisha Lim, check out their blog.
Make sure to buy a copy of Sissy! According to Lim, Sissy features “brave and beautiful queers talk[ing] about sequins, glitter, femininity, insults, courage, happiness and femme pride.”
