Council tells allotment company Roots to stop work after residents’ revolt A company wanting to create a huge allotment on the edge of Bristol have been told to stop work and wait until council planners have decided if they need planning permission or not, after local residents physically blocked tractors and lorries from accessing the field this week. Council representatives visited the field on Wednesday this week, which is on the main A369 road through Abbots Leigh at the corner of the turning into Leigh Woods. They said they have told Roots Allotments, which already run two commercial allotment sites in Bath, that they should not do anything until the planning decisions have been made. A spokesperson for North Somerset Council said planning officers have advised Roots that they should not do anything more until the legal arguments over whether they have to go through a full planning application process first are completed. Roots’ bosses spoke of their frustration this week that North Somerset Council has not yet made a decision on whether to give them a Certificate of Lawful Use, or tell them they need to submit a full planning application, and have missed a couple of deadlines on when they have to make a decision. On Monday, a single local resident tried to prevent workers from cutting a new access point through onto the lane to Leigh Woods, and on Thursday morning, the police were called to confrontations between Roots bosses and local residents, when a lorry arrived to try to offload a shipping container into the field. That stand-off lasted much of the day, and ended with the shipping container being taken away again.

The most recent and biggest set of cuts to bus services, announced by First Bus and the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) earlier this year, finally and fully kicked in this week. Some passengers have reported being unable to get to work and school, with some communities left with no bus services at all. In Ashton Vale, a council estate originally built mainly for the elderly and disabled, residents there said they felt discriminated against after First Bus scrapped their only bus service, and council travel chiefs left them out of a replacement scheme called WestLink which sees people use an app on a smart phone to order a bus service. The damning verdict on Bristol’s bus services, and how it has disproportionately affected working class communities in the city, came from David Redgewell, a veteran campaigner and advocate for transport and disability issues. At Bristol City Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Management committee on Tuesday this week, he slammed WECA for leaving entire communities behind.

The test and the feature could therefore be critical to keeping people safe in an emergency. But some organisations have expressed fears that the test could actually endanger some people. Those at risk of domestic or sexual abuse may have hidden phones, for instance, and the loud alert could draw attention to those devices. For anyone at risk, it is possible to switch the feature off quickly and easily. It is turned on by default, meaning that any device that is switched on and has not gone through this process will receive the message on Sunday. It is very important to note that the switch to turn off both test alerts and real ones is the same: there is no way to only disable it for Sunday. As such, it might be worth leaving it on unless there is an important reason to turn it off and if you do switch it off, it could be worth setting a reminder to switch it back on again afterwards. A jury was seated Tuesday to hear a voting machine company’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News in a trial that will test First Amendment protections and expose the network’s role in spreading the lie of a stolen 2020 presidential election. All Nato members want Ukraine to join military alliance, says chief Jens Stoltenberg All Nato allies have agreed Ukraine will eventually become a member of the military alliance, secretary general Jens Stoltenberg said this morning. But he stressed the main focus of Nato at the moment is to ensure that Ukraine prevails against Russia’s illegal invasion. Speaking ahead of a meeting of the allies’ Ukraine defence contact group at Ramstein air base in Germany, he told reporters that once the war ends Kyiv must have “the deterrence to prevent new attacks”. Nato leaders said in 2008 that Ukraine would join the alliance one day, and Mr Stoltenberg has repeated that promise throughout the war, though the organisation has established no pathway or timetable for membership. It comes after Mr Stoltenberg yesterday pledged continued support for the country during his first visit to Kyiv since Russia’s invasion just over a year ago. “Let me be clear, Ukraine’s rightful place is in the Euro-Atlantic family,” he told a news conference. “Ukraine’s rightful place is in Nato.” So far, Nato allies have trained tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops and have provided £57 billion of military aid alone. However the alliance has no official presence in Ukraine and provides only non-lethal support to Kyiv. There is still some hesitation from members of the alliance about Ukraine joining. German defence minister Boris Pistorious said “the door is open a crack” but he added that it was “not the time to decide that now”. The minister said Nato must “carefully” weigh any step towards including Ukraine in the alliance. “You have to decide with a cool head and a hot heart and not vice versa,” he added.

Clare Daly responds after Ukraine puts her on list of people who allegedly promote Russian propaganda Irish MEP Clare Daly has responded after she was put on a list compiled by Ukraine’s secret service who it claims “promote narratives consonant with Russian propaganda”. The list includes 72 public figures across the globe who Ukraine deems to be sharing harmful narratives. Ms Daly is the only Irish figure on the list. Others include US Republican senator Rand Paul, former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and US journalist Glenn Greenwald. The list, which is titled “speakers who promote narratives consonant with Russian propaganda”, was published by the Centre for Countering Disinformation, a unit within the national security and defence council of Ukraine which is headed by president Volodymyr Zelensky. Ms Daly is being accused of sharing two narratives – that sanctions against Russia “make innocent people suffer”, and that the Ukrainian conflict is “a proxy war between Nato and Russia.” In a statement issued to Independent.ie this morning, Ms Daly said it was a “blacklist issued by a Ukrainian Government propaganda department”. The left-wing MEP, who has been critical of Nato and Western countries’ response to the Russia’s invasion, as well as the invasion itself, added that the “West’s intervention has only prolonged the war, contributing to continuing death and destruction”. “Both comments attributed to me are absolutely correct and I stand over them. Increasingly it is ordinary citizens in Europe who are paying the price of the sanctions and it is only getting worse as the gas is turned down,” she said. “Russia is responsible for starting the war but the role of the international community should be to help end it with diplomatic efforts seeking to secure ceasefire and a negotiated peace. This has been rejected by the US and NATO who have instead decided to use Ukraine to conduct a war with Russia, and it is ordinary citizens in Ukraine, Russia and Europe who are now suffering.

It’s too early to know which way the pendulum will swing, but well over half the British public still supports the existence of a Monarchy and turns out in large numbers to express their approval of the theatre that remains an enduring part of the British love affair with ‘tradition’ and the uncopromisingly expensive and pompous spectacle that surrounds the great majority of royal occasions. ……. King Charles III takes the throne at a time of great uncertainty and insecurity for all people, not just the population of Great Britain. The United Kingdom, like many other countries, is locked into a seemingly insoluble set of political and economic upheavals, all symptomatic of the dominant globalist regime of the past three/four decades. Most of what provides the appearance of worldly significance for the UK comes from what is referred to as its ‘special relationship’ with the USA. This means letting US top brass decide the UK’s role in the geopolitical machinations of an international power struggle and then entering into collusion with UK officialdom over how this will be financed and spun by the global media. The brutal wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria were largely Anglo-American planned and executed events taken-up later by the European Union as a show of what is called ‘International solidarity’. But recently a whole new dimension of power has imposed itself on the socio-economic and cultural pattern of the UK, Europe, North America and beyond. This power heist is that of the World Economic Forum (WEF) operating in full collaboration with the United Nations (especially its World Health Organisation) along with the corporate giants that dominate the global economy. This is especially true when it comes to the machinations of the privately controlled and debt creating central banking system that’s led by the secretive and almost unknown Bank for International Settlements (BIS). King Charles will swear his Coronation Oath on his official day of inauguration. His mother did the same at her Coronation in 1953. This oath states that the King will remain loyal to protecting the well being and safety of his subjects and to guard the independent sovereignty of the nation. His mother, for whatever reason, failed the citizens of Great Britain in this respect. She sold-out to the globalists and supranational authority of the European Union. UK citizens have clawed-back one of these losses. Will King Charles III be true to his Coronation Oath? Will the rulings of 1215 Magna Carta re-emerege from their present obscurity and be proclaimed as the foundation for the future of the British Isles? Will the never revoked constitutional Common Law of the people rise-up to force the lawless elite cabal off their Masonic pedestals of power? Perhaps the people of Great Britain will finally wake-up to the fact that the royal chimera played-out daily on their TV screens is nothing but a tool of simple deception that’s designed to soften and obscure the stark realities of a world governed by fascist sentiments and an advanced array of high-tech weaponry for the imposition of the digital hypnosis of the masses. Whichever way it goes, ‘waking-up’ remains the highest imperative and we, the people, need to recognise – and act on – our rightful and lawful authority to lead, and not leave it to the unelected and unaccountable masters of pomp and spin.

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the former founding Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: ‘It is appropriate the formal ritualistic prayers of the Coronation ought to be Anglican as the King is from the Anglican faith. ‘But the presence of other faith leaders will signify the importance that the King represents all the faith communities in the Kingdom.’ Pradip Gajjar, a Hindu leader, said: ‘This is a Christian ceremony for a Christian King. I don’t see a problem with that.’ The King has already dramatically slimmed down the scale of the May 6 ceremony, with the service expected to last just over an hour compared with more than three hours for his mother’s crowning.

He would communicate with the angels thought to thought. The angels would then bow before Him and [do the assigned task and then] back out. I saw family I hadn’t seen in a long time. All of the family of all of Dean’s generations who accepted Jesus Christ as Savior came to greet him in. Family and friends come to greet you in as well as those you impacted somehow to live for Jesus Christ…..
