The axioms about the value of education in propagandizing a nationâs youth are well known, and during the Weimar years in Germany, the focus on the minds of school-aged children was never more trenchant.
Then, and to a great degree now in the U.S., education has been about training and raising good lumpens dedicated only to The State. George Carlin once said that the real owners of this country--not the politicians--didn't want "a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They want obedient workers."
