Doug Brown joins the program to explain why the Hamilton Coalition to Stop the War wrote a letter to the NDP Federal Caucus about why the "White Helmets" should not be given the Nobel Peace Prize.
There is a very sophisticated marketing campaign to present the White Helmets as a grassroots humanitarian organization in Syria. It was actually founded by a British army officer formerly associated with Blackwater and created and supported by the very same NATO governments that are attacking Syria today.
The "White Helmets" operate in Nusra-controlled zones and have served as auxiliaries for this Al Qaeda-affiliated organization. Their leader was denied entry into the U.S. for associating with terrorist groups.
Canadian politicians should not be taken in by a U.S. public relations campaign to paint collaborators with Al Qaeda as humanitarian first responders who are saving children.
