The West has always had a long-term goal of domination of Iraq and Syria by promoting division along religious and ethnic lines. Zafar Bangash [at 6:35] points out however that Syria in particular has maintained its unity against terrible odds. The success of the Syrian government in fighting the Turkish assisted terrorists is now bringing a political nightmare to into the stronghold of Turkey’s strongman, Erdogan.
