The Monday, April 22, Climate Justice Forum radio program hosted by Wild Idaho Rising Tide (WIRT, airs the live-streamed conversation and question-and-answer session with Utah climate activist Tim DeChristopher that followed the simultaneous, nationwide screening of the documentary Bidder 70 depicting his disruption of an unjust federal oil and gas lease auction and his subsequent resistance and imprisonment. Recorded online while about 40 Moscow community members locally participated in the seminal event at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center earlier on Earth Day, Tim’s discussion after the Gage and Gage Productions film about his civil disobedience represents his first public appearance since his release from almost two years in federal prison. Broadcast on KRFP Radio Free Moscow ( between 7:30 and 9:30 pm PDT live at 92.5 FM and online, the show also covers continent-wide dirty energy developments and climate activism news. Thanks to the generous, anonymous listener who adopted program host Helen Yost as his KRFP DJ.
Helen Yost of Wild Idaho Rising Tide offers news and conversations with climate change activists and scientists about corporate dirty energy projects and citizen resistance, interspersed with protest songs and descriptions of grassroots direct actions and community initiatives.
