The country has been embroiled in the sequester debate, with Republicans and Democrats retrenching for a fight over the budget. We'll investigate the stakes for workers.

Also, Afghanistan's Karzai government recently announced its decision to ban U.S. operations in certain regions of the country. The move is seen as a blow to the virtually unlimited power the U.S. has had in Afghanistan. It also hints at internal tensions over how America has been permitted to operate there.

March is Women's History Month, and all around the world, rallies, teach-ins and educational outreach are planned for International Women's Day, March 8. More on the issues bringing people out to International Women's Day events, and the actions happening.

Lastly, storms didn't stop hundreds of demonstrators from taking to the streets in New York City in a rally aimed at challenging police brutality. But a lot of grassroots work went in to making that action a success. We'll talk with an organizer about what brought people out to fight police violence.
