Back Alley Urban Farms- In a pen in East Vancouver, there are four hens that are Vancouver-born and raised. These hens are part of Back Alley Urban Farms, and are living proof that localized food production is not only possible, itâs happening in a backyard near you. Poor Peopleâs Radio- About 80 low income people gathered on Vancouverâs CBC on its annual Food Bank Day to say that they want governments to end the need for food banks by raising welfare rates.
