Two prominent Canadians, Jeff Rubin and David Suzuki were in Winnipeg Monday October 1 to speak at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre Mainstage as part of a national tour focused on merging economics with environmental principles to create a more sustainable future. David Suzuki is an academic, broadcaster, author and award-winning environmental activist. Jeff Rubin formerly Chief Economist and Chief Strategist at CIBC World Markets, author of the books 'ENd of Growth' and 'Why Your World is about to get a Whole Lot Smaller,' and one of the world's most sought after energy experts. They both spoke to CKUW News Director Michael Welch before the public event about issues surrounding their joint project.
