The Philippines are the target of a large proportion of Canadian mining investment. Many projects have generated widespread resistance due to displacement, environmental destruction, repression of dissent, police brutality and state-sanctioned violence. Dr. Constancio "Chandu" Claver is a Filipino physician and human rights worker. He speaks about Canadian mining in the Philippines.
