In a city where 100,000 people live below the poverty line, 25% of them children, when it comes to dividing up the coppers, they still have to fight with business interests to be heard.

Hamilton is the city around the bend from Toronto, and as a result loses out on much of the poverty funds that the big smoke seems to get. A city known for it's numbers of people living in poverty repeatedly gets ignored by the Provincial and Federal governments when it comes to funding.
