Phil interviews Robin Philpot, author of "Rwanda and the New Scramble for Africa," and publisher of Baraka Books about new evidence about the events of April 1994 in Kigali that were revealed in the latter's interview of Col. Luc Marchal, former commander of Belgium's contingent of the UNAMIR forces posted to Rwanda in 1993.

Colonel Marchal confirmed to Robin that the officers of the Rwandan army behaved in a responsible and professional manner, both before and after the war that began in April 1994. And he cited instances of improper and illegal conduct by the RPF of Paul Kagame. He recalled hearing General Dallaire tell an RPF officer on April 7th that, if the RPF allowed soldiers to advance from their positions, they would be violating the Arusha Peace Agreement. They did advance and also refused to cooperate with a ceasefire. Why does our media ignore such important information?
