Phil interviews Ann Garrison of Black Agenda Report and KPFA radio about the "civil war" in Ethiopia.

She posits that the TPLF (Tigray People's Liberation Front) is being used by the USA and EU to break up Ethiopia much in the same way they did the former Yugoslavia, using "humanitarian interventionism" as an excuse, and buzzwords such as "humanitarian corridors," "humanitarian relief" just as they do in Syria.

Garrison and Taylor observe that Ethiopia's sovereignty is disrespected by the US and its allies in Europe. They presume the imperial right to interfere in the internal affairs of African countries. The Tigray region is part of Ethiopia, and must be resolved by Ethiopians.

A great deal is at stake for Africa in the Ethiopian conflict as the issue of the water of the Nile affects a number of Northern African countries, and because Ethiopia is an "anchor state" in the Horn of Africa.
