Paul Rusesabagina, featured in the film "Hotel Rwanda," is now in custody in Kigali, Rwanda, having been kidnapped from the UAE.

Rusesabagina is a Belgian citizen and a resident of the USA. Belgium gave him refugee status because of the danger he faced in Rwanda.

The Prosecutor of Rwanda announced a group indictment against 16 people, including Rusesabagina. He also thanked Belgian authorities for giving permission to search Rusesabagina's residence in Belgium, the contents of which would be used against him.

On October 1, 1990, the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) invaded Rwanda from and with the help of neighbouring Uganda. The leader of the RPF, Paul Kagame, was a Ugandan general who received training in the USA.

Western governments welcome the RPF representatives to their countries, and ignored the protests of the legitimate government of President Habyarimana's Rwanda.
