The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit Show - A musical mid-life crisis -- a late-night search for meaning and happiness airs on WRIR LP Monday nights from 9 PM to 11 PM. Stream the show @ www.wrir.org
Hey Listeners,

So tonight is roughly the 12th birthday of The Man In The Gray Flannel Suit Show. I felt I couldn’t properly celebrate the occasion with a pre-recorded show, so I’m back live in the studio for only the 4th time since March and the beginning of the pandemic. While I’ve enjoyed pre-recording my show, I have missed being in the studio.
So we’re going to do a few things tonight. Recently Rolling Stone released its updated Top 500 Albums. While their list is not that relevant to me, I love the fact that the publication of their list has resulted in so many other publications analyzing the list and coming out with lists of their own. In fact it created a stir with many of my friends that I like to discuss music with. So much so that we decided to all put together our Top 20 lists / desert island discs we wouldn’t want to be without. I realized when I looked at the 4th iteration of my list that there were no female artists on there. It was then I thought how awful it would be to find myself on a deserted island and to never hear a woman’s sweet voice.
Anyway that got me thinking and revising my list. And although I didn’t add many, we’ll spend some time tonight with some of the contenders.
