These two candidates talk about various issues and give specific detail analysis of the problems and solutions. Mark worked for 5 years with 350.org to get NYC to divest. Now we need the NYS Comptroller to divest. Nearly 50 state lawmakers sponsor state legislation Mark wrote to get NYS to divest. Howie Hawkins, the only progressive candidate on the ballot for Governor who will fight for fully-funded public schools, guaranteed, single-payer healthcare for all; 100% clean energy by 2030; affordable housing and transportation, and living-wage jobs or income for all â A Green New Deal.
On October 29, Spectrum News is hosting a debate for State Comptroller candidates and they decided to exclude Green Party candidate Mark Dunlea. Shame on Spectrum! Stifling debates is an affront to democracy and a slap in the face to voters. Add your voice calling on Spectrum to open up the debate!
If Howie gets 50,000 votes in NY the Green Party can keep their line on the ballot another 4 years. Also voting for the Green Party and their platform make the other parties realize they need to change their policies to get these votes. Last year Howie received over 5% of the votes for NYS Governor. It is better to vote for what you want and not get it than to vote for what you don't want and get it. End the two party duopoly.
Howie and other candidates have been shut out of the debate tonight. Keep an eye out for Howie's LIVE DEBATE RESPONSE on Facebook starting around 8pm ET. https://www.facebook.com/HowieHawkinsForGovernor
