Peter Collins is an artist, activist and prisoner currently incarcerated in Bath, Ontario. He began developping his artistic capabilities while being held in segregation. Much of his artwork satirizes corruption and power as it plays out inside and outside the prison walls. This is frequently censored, confiscated, stolen and destroyed by prison authorities. In this interview, Peter discusses the lengths with which Corrections Canada has gone to shut him up, the relationship between the so-called war against terrorism and the prison industrial complex, and other themes to his artwork.
