NEW ARTICLE about the Shortwave Report in the Boulder Weekly by Gavin Dahl- http://npaper-wehaa.com/boulder-weekly/2015/03/26/#?article=2478097
This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Sputnik Radio, NHK Japan, and Radio Havana Cuba. From GERMANY- Saudi Arabia intercepted a rocket fired from Yemen, which the US is using to escalate its anti-Iranian rhetoric. Donald Trump laid out his foreign policy strategy this week, focusing on threats from Iran and North Korea- Russia and China were quite critical of his plan. Then as I put this show together, the UN vote on Trump's declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel is being taken- prior to the vote Israeli PM Netanyahu slammed the UN as the house of lies. From RUSSIA-On his program Going Underground, Afshin Rattansi interviewed the Palestinian ambassador to the UK, Manuel Hassassian. They discuss the levels of violence since Trump's Jerusalem announcement, and whether the Israeli claims to the city are justified. Manuel says that the problem is falsely posed as religious when it is a question of colonialism and occupation. He says that the US has shifted from being a broker of peace to taking the side of the occupier, and a kiss of death to the two-state solution. From JAPAN- Clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli troops in Bethlehem left 100 injured on Wednesday alone, with another 99 in the West Bank and Gaza. Before the UN vote on the US declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, Trump said he will cut aid to any country voting in favor of the resolution- the vote went overwhelmingly in favor of the resolution, though 35 nations abstained. Russian officials criticized Japanese plans to build 2 new missile bases, saying it violates a 1987 treaty between the US and Russia. Voters in Catalonia are at the polls as I produce this show. From CUBA- In the Dominican republic, representatives of the Venezuelan government leaders met with opposition leaders to promote peace. The Chilean Supreme Court jailed 3 of Pincochet's military agents for murdering political prisoners in 1973. Then a Viewpoint on what is behind escalating clashes between demonstrators and government forces in Argentina.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://www.mediageek.net/sound/2006/mg100606-64k.mp3
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer. TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < http://www.kzyx.org >
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
