On the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the worst nuclear disaster of all time, renowned physician, author and anti-nuclear advocate Helen Caldicott updtes listeners on the current challenges presnted by the ongoing leeching of radioactive materials from the Fukushima Daiichi site in Japan. She talks about the dillema of containing radiative particles, particularly in the water, the health threats to the Japanese and people across the northern hemisphere, and the irresponsible actions of the Japanese government and regulators in understating the threats. Later she discloses her conerns about Canada's enabling of this industry, the rise of Donald Trump, and the COLD WAR antagonism that has sprumg up laterly which may once again be putting humanity on a perilous course toward a nuclear war.
