I dug in the vaults and found a copy of the best coversong show I've played on the FUNHOUSE. I had retooled it back when I was doing jury duty a few years ago--it was originally played when BSTF was in the very low double digits, and its all the best shit I had been sitting on for years. There are no dead spots, and it's leavened between the stuff that is so absolutely painfully atrocious it defies the Geneva Convention, and the rare versions where an unexpected performer takes a standard to a transcendent level. We've got the Pajama Slave Dancers, King Uszniewicz and His Uszniewicztones, the RotoRooter GoodTime Christmas Band, the Dickies, the Tremelons, Walter Brennan, Mrs Miller, Chet Atkins, Nina Hagen, Pink Lincolns, Special Ed, the Rolling Meadows High School Jazz Band, the 9 Unknown Men (a nom de musique of scrubgenius's own ROBERT ARE!), Danger Woman...and Wooshie Sakamoto's inimitable karaoke song stylings. Theman is challenged by Ls and Rs...and he's doing Kenny Rogers's song "Lady." Phonetically.
