Well, this is a twisted thing--since I first broadcast this show, I learned that the guy delivering this powerhouse sermon of enlightened thinking is actually gripped by a pathological QueerFear...WHUH? Orson Scott Card (yep, THAT guy!) delivered these brilliant science-based sermons at SF Cons in the '80s, and they were a rapturous joy for the thinking man. Having heard that Secular Humanism was a religion, he thought there might be room for a secular humanist evangelist, so he wrote his SECULAR HUMANIST REVIVAL MEETING and began putting on performances. Styled on old tent revivals, Card took them a step further, arguing for logic and reason within the concept of religion that reconciles them both. All I can say is WHAT THE HELL, DUDE? How can a man's enlightened thinking just suddenly slam into a brick wall? If you disconnect the message from the messenger, this is Bag Balm for your spiritual brain.
