Episode 64: Talkin' Graf with Castro, Stroe, Choise, Crazor, Stroe & More
GRAFFITI MONTH got a proper kickoff this week on UNSEEN LEGION RADIO as we were joind by some true graf legends including CASTRO, STROE, CHOISE, CRAZOR and the great KING CRE8. CARESSA and CMA's own DENAE made sure the ladies were represented, as did SHORTE aka AK GIRL. G DAWG, ALEX, VEGA$, DJJD, MASS KONFUSION & JADOX also joined DJ EARL-E, MC PROSE, YESKI ANOMIKS & BIN GRIM in house, and KAZUE from UTI dropped in a little later and brought a lot of energy to the night. So many graf crews were repped, including CMA, CCA, RTN and UTI.
DJ Earl-E warned y'all off top that there would be more talking than usual on tonight's show, and so he started off with a set that got everyone's minds right before we went into the interviews. Castro, being the OG and founder of CMA presided, with help from Cre8 and made sure everybody got to share their stories, perspectives and history. Highlights include Choise talking about the transition of many of L.A. kids (including himself) from gangs to graf, Castro telling a story of how and why he showed up to school one day in a bus driver jacket, a call-in from PRIDE ONE, the origins and names of more graf crews than you can shake a can at, Crazor dropping mad knowledge and Stroe repping for the next generation of L.A. graf go-getters.
Stroe also brought in some exclusive music by himself and his crew, The BEZRKOS, so Earl-E threw that into the mix as he dropped a lil' set to close out the night with music by DJ LORD RON, PHONOGLYPHS and more. Check it out... we know you'll love it.
