Episode 51: The Duke & Earl
This week on UNSEEN LEGION RADIO as we welcomed DUKE WESTLAKE into the station. You may recall him as one of the many amazing performers that graced the stage at The ULr Show we threw down at 15Twenty Cahuenga on Oct. 12th. Well, he hadn't yet been a guest on ULr itself, so in a real way it felt like closing a circle as soon as he stepped thru the doors. DJ EARL-E set a great vibe and pretty soon the homie got down to business. Duke's weapon of choice is the Roland SP-555 and he used every feature it had in an extended live beat set that had MC PROSE, M.I.E. and DOLOW KIDD spitting spontaneous freestyles that only SHORTY LOKA and Earl-E got to hear. Earl also got in some scratching and he and Duke jammed out a llitle toward the end. It was a great session. Afterward, we sat down and chopped it up with Duke, going deep into too many topics to list here. Dude is good people, Project Blowed certified and all that. BIN GRIM called in to say wassup too and chop it up with our guests. Shout out to YESKI ANOMIKS!
DJJD loved the new M.I.E. track he had just recorded the night before and then dropped that same night, so he made it his song of the week. So this show also marks the radio premiere of Shogun Love, off of M.I.E.'s dropping mixtape, M.I.Ethernet Plugin 1.1. details to come on future episodes.
