The Unseen Legion is Hip-Hop. And so it is a little bit of the streets. Every street. Everywhere. It is the underdog in the fight, the underground in the struggle. It is hands-on, do-it-yourself, something-out-of-nothing. It is the music and language of survival, all around the world.
The Unseen Legion is people everywhere. In the true Hip-Hop tradition, we pay homage to our roots while taking care of the present, and building for tomorrow.
The Unseen Legion is NOW. It is cultural revolution and spiritual evolution. It is introspection and self-expression. It speaks truth to power... and the music never lies.
Episode 42: A Chill Session
We had no guests scheduled this week on Unseen Legion Radio. So DJ EARL-E and PROSE started things off with a great mix of hip-hop to set off another lovely Tuesday night. BIN GRIM called in to give some shout outs and remind the listeners about some of our upcoming guests and to announce the upcoming "Unseen Legion Presents" Showcase in Hollywood in early October. Earl-E made sure to mix in a few joints from your hosts, the InaSoulbianz Crew, as well as a few of our former guests, and some classics like Eric B & Rakim's "Don't Sweat the Technique" & Da King & I's "Flip the Scrip".
Things took a surprising turn for the better when the Unseen Legion family members from Versenaries & F.E.M.A. Camp (Big up to Swingy Records) called and then swung thru for the last hour of the show. Verbal Rkeytekt, Choize Areef, Chaotic Logic & graf writer Ender came thru and put it in the air with ya peeps. The freestyles alone were worth downloading this episode for, but then they turned the tables and conducted an impromptu interview of DJ Earl-E! They did a great job, too. That was in the extended mix, along with plenty more freestlyes, so we went ahead and recorded it all and it is here for download as well. Enjoy... See y'all next week!
