Exactly one year on from the eviction of Dale Farm (what used to be Europe's largest travellers' site - in Essex, UK) the show will take a special focus on traveller solidarity and action. The Traveller Solidarity Network's (TSN) mass action "Fight for Sites" is happening today and looks to target the Department for Communities & Local Government, fighting for an end to evictions and the right to a home. We will speak with Phien O'Phien, a pavee (irish traveller) and action participant who provide a live report from the action, reflections of the direction of the solidarity campaign movement and more. We'll also hear an interview with two organisers involved in the TSN and some audio from months gone by to pay tribute to Dale Farm.
The show will be peppered with tunes from musicians and DJ-producers that you can look forward to seeing at next weekend's post-Anarchist Bookfair benefit party (see below for more info)! Including tracks from Drowning Dog & Malatesta, Punkture Sluts, Hue Jah Fink? and Killabomb - and a whole DJ set from Ruido too...ace.
