Even though Mama Bush got all the money ($70,000. for a speech?) and there wasn't any left for the May 4th Coalition, those of us who lived through that time will never forget what happened. Every May 4th I get into a least one argument with someone who thinks they should have killed a lot more than just four hippie creeps that day 31 years ago. Will this sore ever heal?
Clash- This is Radio Clash As the beer riots of 2001 rage on at Kent State University this weekend, we pause in remembrance of the four students shot dead on the campus of Kent 31 years ago, during riots and protests of a different kind, most of the music on tonight's show is from a bygone era, but let us never forget, for it will happen again.

Back in 1975 a young Frank Incensed (going by his real name) hosted a show from the University of Akron, called Words & Music. One of the shows concerned itself with the anti-war sentiment, that was just then starting to fade away. Tonight we will splice in several segments of that show, just because it fits so well. My co-host for the old Words & Music show was Ms. Pat Larson, & it is her voice you hear in several of the segments. The artist of the evening is Country Joe McDonald, he of the Fish, who was one of the most eloquent voices of protest during the late 60's. The next set features a couple of songs about the living room war, including an actual snippet from Walter Cronkite, who actually once called for an end to the war on the national news. That would never happen now, with the spray painted smiles who report the news. The draft continued to consume America's young in sacrifice to the great god of war. This set also has many songs about what it was like to face that cold, cold draft. I not only dedicate this set to veterans of the war and anti-war veterans (like myself) alike, we were all in it together
