Faith bound beliefs takes some navigating in order to not get caught up in the dark shadows that it casts upon the human spirit. This affects our political thinking and the health of women, our families and thus men too. Seems to go way back, making women second-class citizens (or property) by the early patriarchal fathers, even before Christians arrived on the scene. Seems to be a sky god thing. And some think we can handle the problems of reality with beliefs like this?!
