This talk explores corporate agendas and the struggles for oil and resources behind the wars on terrorism and drugs in Latin America, the Middle East, and Central Asia. It also reviews indigenous and grassroots resistance struggles against both corporate/imperialist designs as well as fundamentalism/terrorism.
Bill Weinberg is editor of the online weekly "World War 3 Report" ( http://www.worldwar3report.com ), as well as the author of _Homage to Chiapas: The New Indigenous Struggles in Mexico_, and _War on the Land: Ecology and Politics in Central America_. As a correspondent for _Native Americas_, the quarterly journal of Cornell University's American Indian Program, he has won three awards from the Native American Journalists Association for his reportage on indigenous issues from Nicaragua to Arizona. He's a reporter and former editor at _High Times_, and co-producer of "The Moorish Orthodox Radio Crusade" (Tuesdays at midnight on WBAI-NY, 99.5 FM).
