Noam Chomsky, being a public figure and not using libel laws to defend oneself, has opened oneself to the character defamation. And this character defamation happens on many fronts. Most of this defamation happens as a result of Professor Noam Chomskys support for freedom of speech, and as such it is important to challange the urban legends and myths when we hear them.
