Kick it off with a soulful âSing and Dance-Alongâ songzs. An old traditional folk song performed by a current folk musician.
This episode includes a story telling through sensation and vision we experience a trip floating down a river on a twig, told from a grasshopperâs view of the watershed cycle. Inter-related parts of nature & life cycles are introduced.
Two guided imagery activities are next. They cover concepts of Taking on anotherâs perspective, and vision distorted by medium. Developmental movement patterns including Balance in squat, supine flexion, body image and positional displacement are experienced as well as perception of vibration, sound, vestibular, light touch, scents, acceleration, deceleration,.
Things lighten up with jokes taking a twist on the English language.
The radio drama is called Flight of the Dragonfly and follows a dragonflyâs flight down the river, encountering a variety of animals along the way. He learns about dangers and he tells some tall tails. Some differentiation between pretend-stories and facts is covered. Some similarity and difference comparisons are covered. Some teasing is covered.
We transition to the end of the episode with a descriptive poem on fish, leading to a personal closing message.
