Professional Sports serves as a form of false purity in America. A place where common ground and a level playing field is explored. In reality pro sports is Big Business that operates in the larger orbit of the American market order experiment. The violence, greed, excessive waste that is displayed by some players is no comparison to the violence, greed, corruption, and human environmental destruction played out by the elite and their powerful corporate machinery every day on their 'playing' fields world wide.

In this (Ruins of Empire) Segment called 'The Barry 'Bonding' of Black Athletes: Michael Vic, Barry Bonds and the Politics of Negotiated Outrage in America' SR will explore the racialized and demonizing lens that much of the American population expresses it self through. How some torture of humans and dogs is acceptable. How snitching is colorized. And how the exploitation of Women is viewed and attacked in terms of Black and White. Clips from Chris Matthews (Hardball), Karen Hanretty, Jon Stewart, Jane Mayer, Bill Kristol and others help bite into this topic.

In a Land where Learned Indifference, Learned Obedience, and Learned Allegiance to Authority are celebrated in this sick violent society. The playing field of big business sports is one of the good places to start.
