SMACK-LINE, Friday June 22, 2007 2PM, ZEPH DANIEL -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Definitely there must be some on my email list who do not wish to be there. It is very easy to unsubscribe and never receive it again. That is why I use this service -- NO SPAM. I do not like to just send mass emails out like some people do. If you want to receive the updates, showtimes, articles and everything else, sign up--it's free to you. If you don't like something I have to say down the road, unsubscribe--it's just that simple. There is an unsubscribe button on each and every email we send out. Fair enough?
Good.
Now, breath-taking. I have done interviews with Messian Dread, and many of you continue to comment about how much his music has touched you, and his testimony. I hope to have him on again very soon. We talked about the Rastas, and the difference between Rastas who worship YHWH-Y'SVH (Father-Son-Spirit), and those who view Hailie Sallasie as the second coming.
HERE IS A COMMENT FROM MY BLOG. Is this what these people do all day long--look to play GOTCHA? Stop watching TV, morons, get a life.
"So according to your article, you are now a Rasta? Or support Rasta? Here is a brief excerpt from Wikipedia about it, which is corroborated in any reference material. And yet you say you are a Christian? All I can say is wow!

Haile Selassie IRasta, or the Rastafari movement, is a religion that accepts Haile Selassie I, the former Emperor of Ethiopia, as God incarnate, whom they call Jah.[1] He is also seen as part of the Holy Trinity as the messiah promised in the Bible to return. The name Rastafari comes from Ras (Prince, Head, Duke or Chief) Tafari Makonnen, the pre-coronation name of Haile Selassie I."
My response:
The truth is, the movement is about Jah-or YHWH. The worship of the emperor of Ethiopia I do not engage in, and neither do all Rastas. Jah comes from Jehovah and Yahweh. Jah, Yah, etc. God.
I do not put Rastas down who see things differently than me...for some perhaps, seeing Selassie as the Trinity may be a step toward seeing God directly. I don't know. I see God directly. I am not a Rasta just because I adopt "Jah" or "One Love" from brothers who happen to be Rasta. I adopt those saying because they make me joyous!
OK?
You should listen to some Reggae music from Messian Dread and see if you think he isn't a Remnant Christian. Or go ahead and label him as well. But you know, if all you do is stand before God and tell that this is what you did with your life, I think you would get a sobering response, seriously. Check yourself.
Shame on you legalists.
Maybe some in the movement will respond on my blog, I don't know. I am not ashamed to be friends with Rastas.
