On June 14 at noon, a demonstration, organized by the Halifax Coalition Against Poverty drew attention to the crimes of Nova Scotia's privatized energy system in the context of the Atlantica project. About 75 protesters chanted, gave speeches, and shredded copies of their power bills outside Emera, the parent company of Nova Scotia Power and a big player in the proposed Atlantic trade agreement.
