The environmental movement is largely comprised of privileged people, which has led to the ineffectiveness of the movement. In this interview we talk about reasons for expanding environmentalism to include environmental racism, classism, colonialism.

Jihan and Diana are involved in the Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiative, which works with a variety of different organizations to build alliances beyond traditional boundaries. We talk of the need for this to happen more, as well as specific examples of successes and failures which we can learn from.
