Yves Engler is a Montréal-based activist and author who has published 12 books including his latest Stand on Guard For Whom? A People’s History of the Canadian Military.

They speak about Haiti in historical and current context, Haiti was the first country to liberate itself from slavery , the only successful country to do so in human history. In 2004 a very popular president Jean-Bertrand Aristide was removed via a US backed coup because he wanted to make some mild reforms for the people.

It's been one year since the assassination of their president, recently world leaders in particular US, France and Canada declared a new Haitian president on twitter. Canada walks hand in hand with US imperialism, they back and support coups wherever the US wants them to take place. Canada is currently building 7 military bases around the world to support US imperialism.
