Rally and Press Conference of social justice groups to give notice to the Biden Administration that they will get no peace unless there is immediate action on reversing the oppressive murderous policies that the U.S. Government is responsible for at home and abroad.

On the eve of their inauguration...
Demand REAL Change from the Biden Administration!
4 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 19 230 S. Dearborn Street, Chicago
After four nightmarish years of Trump, we need to do more than breathe sighs of relief as the Biden-Harris administration takes office.
During previous Democratic administrations, many hoped that the rhetoric about promoting diversity and ending âstupid warsâ would translate into sweeping civil rights progress and redress growing economic inequalities. Instead we got:
** continuing police murders of Black and Brown people ** bailouts of banks and other big businesses while millions lost their homes ** failure to honor long-standing promises to legislate a level playing field for unions to organize ** expansions of U.S. wars ** expansion of already-bloated Pentagon budgets ** arms exports to oppressive governments ** drone bombings ** record deportations ** record attacks on whistle-blowers ** continued attacks on the right to choose abortion, and ** huge expansion of the petroleum industry thru fracking.
We cannot afford another Democratic administration that fails to meet the needs of those who hoped it would bring sweeping change. If there is little progress to diminish the huge inequalities in this country, many will drift into apathy or end up supporting another right-wing demagogue in 2024.
We must pro-actively make demands on the new Biden-Harris administration:
** End State Repression & Institutional Racism http://ccawr.org/end-state-repression-institutional-racism/
** Promote an Economy That Serves Working Class People http://ccawr.org/promote-an-economy-that-serves-working.../
** Housing, Food, Education & Healthcare are Human Rights http://ccawr.org/housing-food-education-healthcare-are.../
** We Have the Right to Control Our Bodies http://ccawr.org/we-have-the-right-to-control-our-bodies/
** International Peace & Human Rights http://ccawr.org/international-peace-human-rights/
** Protect the Planet, Protect Us All http://ccawr.org/protect-the-planet-protect-us-all/
