John Wilkes Booth, a Southern sympathizer and a war profiteer, signs on to abduct Lincoln for Southern, Northern and British business interests, not to revenge the imminent demise of the Confederate States of America.
But principals in the wheeling and dealing are not content with Boothâs dramatic posturings and lack of results. They want Captain James William Boyd, a Confederate spy and capable guerilla, to take over the abduction plan.
Did the Money Men unwittingly sign Lincolnâs death warrant? Or did a higher political power decide Lincoln had to be deposed, not for just a âfortnightâ but permanently?
The clock begins ticking louder and faster as the Ides of April near an unforgettable end.
