From JAPAN- US Sec of State Pompeo warned South Korea about moving forward with ties and reconciliation. The US military flew a pair of B-52 bombers over the South China Sea to keep Chinese military buildup in check. Save The Children reported that 84,000 children in Yemen have died from malnutrition in the 3 years of war between Yemeni rebels and the Saudi-US-British coalition.
From CUBA- In Argentina at the CLACSO world forum on critical thinking, Dilma Rousseff discussed the Latin American swing to right and the jailing of Lula da Silva. The new Brazilian Foreign Minister believes that climate change is a ploy by cultural Marxists to promote Chinese growth. Thousands of climate activists in Britain under the banner Extinction Rebellion took over streets and bridges- they are demanding zero net carbon emissions by 2025. Ecuador may be preparing to extradite Julian Assange to the US. Several Palestinian and international journalists have been injured by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank while protesting IDF attacks on the press.
From SPAIN- Alison Hughes reports on calls in Europe for the creation of an independent EU army- both German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Macron identified the US, China, and Russia as potential threats to Europe. This comes after NATO held its biggest military exercises since the end of the Cold War. 50,000 NATO troops amassed in Norway along with tanks, weapons, and a US nuclear aircraft carrier.
From RUSSIA- Sophie Shevarnadaze interviewed retired CIA officer Rolf Mowatt-Larssen about the EU talk of creating an army separate from NATO, the changing face of warfare, and the current US authorization of force. Then George Galloway interviewed American libertarian journalist Luke Rudkowski of We Are Change.org. He says America has gone mad, talks about the history of Robert Mueller, and says Henry Kissinger is on a panel advising the media on what is fake news.
