After a long time in the making, the new improved Radio Project site is on-line.
Additional features have been added to the Project:
* Keyword search of our database of 800 + plus archived broadcast quality radio programs in mp3.
* Special browse features allowing searches by program type, producer, program series.
* New program categories.
* If you have your own server, the ability to easily enter your program in the database, while leaving your files on your own server.
* You can now include an announcer script for your program as a text file.
The Project is now operating on completely free, non-proprietary, software. The database has been ported to MySql/Php and now runs on Linux. We intend to make the Radio Project Software freely and publicly available under the GNU General Public Licence -- write to
# if you're interested in obtaining the software.
We are in the process of updating our section on software tools - if you know of some good freeware/shareware for playing/encoding/ editing you think we should list and link to, send a message to:

The A-Infos Radio Project was formed in 1996, and went on-line in 1997, by grassroots broadcasters, free radio journalists and cyber-activists to provide ourselves with the means to share our radio programs via the Internet. Our goal is to support and expand the movement for democratic communications worldwide. We exist to be an alternative to the corporate and government media which do not serve struggles for liberty, justice and peace, nor enable the free expression of creativity. The archived material is available to anyone who wants it free of charge.
We welcome submissions from all stations and independent producers in the service of these goals. All material is donated by its producers who are solely responsible for its content.
