Richard House is a campaigner and activist in Stroud, Gloucestershire for social justice but with a particular interest in primary education. He supports the Labour party under Jeremy Corbyn who, he believes, has returned the party to its socialist roots after the Blair years when it was taken over by a neoconservative faction. Richard was also involved in preventing the privatisation of Strouds Subscription Rooms, or Sub Rooms in the town centre which has been a centre of the council and community activity for nearly two hundred years.
