As my friend Jon says, there’s a new comedy night coming to town 😁
-comedians will be paid
-material will sociopolitical
-it will be in the heart of Stokes Croft
It’s about setting a precedent that even acts without an agent or those who’ve been going for years or those who are just talented deserve payment. It’s also about showcasing and harnessing a particular type of sociopolitical comedy. I.e. less tried and tested formulaic styles that you can find on ITV 2, but rather unique, thought provoking stuff instead

Anglican Rev. Sue Parfitt has just returned from the holy land where she witnessed the oppression of native Palestinian people and forced removal from their land.
She travelled wityh Sabeel-Kairos, a small and energetic UK charity committed to supporting peace and justice in the Holy Land. We are a network of individuals, organisations and communities of all backgrounds across the UK who stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people by promoting and advocating on the messages of Kairos Palestine and Sabeel Jerusalem here in the UK.
The network continues the work of the Christians who issued the Iona call in 2012, and the subsequent writing of our key publication ‘Time for Action’. We seek a just and lasting peace in the region based on the realisation of full human and political rights for all.
