President Duterte has announced the withdrawal of the Philippines from the ICC. In a 15-page document the President demonstrates that the ICC violated international and Philippine law by engaging in propaganda targeting him.

In short, the ICC has indeed been politicized and weaponized to be used against states that object to Western hegemony.
