Phil interviews Chris Black about his, and Prof. Graeme Macqueen's recent op-ed piece in the Toronto Star. Black, a Toronto lawyer, argues that Trudeau's upcoming summit meeting in Vancouver could turn out to be the opposite of what it has proposed to do, namely to find a solution to the crisis in the Korean Peninsula.

Black suggests instead the meeting of former Western belligerents in the Korean War could develop into yet another "coalition of the willing" to cooperate with the USA in a military intervention in North Korea. For the summit to be productive, North Korea should be invited, steps taken toward a treaty formally to end the Korean War and an agreement sought from the USA to halt provocative military exercises along the DMZ.
