First of series of programs marking 100 years following Congressional passage of the Espionage Act that was passed to silence criticism of US involvement in the First World War, criticism of labor exploitation and for other purposes. Two of the founding members of workers collective, Salsedo Press talk about its origins in the anti Vietnam War movement and the contributions made to movement campaigns for Civil Rights, Anti-Imperialism, and Justice struggles everywhere.
On exhibit at the Uri-Eichen Gallery were posters recently produced for immigrant rights groups fighting Trumps exclusionary orders as well as some of their iconic art posters advertising the long running annual May Day - Cinco de Mayo beer blast in their factory print shop celebrating workers and resistance to Corporate State oppression.
