How Trump and his key advisors stand to profit from the Dakota Access Pipeline
with
Antonia Juhasz, an American oil and energy analyst, author, journalist and activist. She has authored three books: The Bush Agenda, The Tyranny of Oil, and Black Tide.

Juhasz details what Donald Trumps win means for the controversial Dakota Access pipeline, which would run through Standing Rock Sioux sacred lands and under their primary water source. Trump has personally invested between
$500,000 and $1 million in Energy Transfer Partners " the very same company thats constructing the pipeline. Trump has an additional $500,000 to $ $1 million holding in Phillips 66, which would have a 25 percent stake in the completed Dakota Access project. Energy Transfer Partners Chief Executive Kelcy Warren donated $103,000 toward Trumps campaign and a
further $66,800 to the Republican National Committee after he became the party nominee. Harold Hamm, a top Trump campaign advisor and leading candidate for energy secretary, is the CEO of Continental Resources, whose oil would be carried through the Dakota Access Pipeline. John Paulson, another campaign advisor, is heavily invested in the Bakken oil and gas industry. And thats just the start for fossil fuel connections on Trumps team. And, say it aint so, could the Drill baby Drill sloganeer for the GOP Sarah
Palin be headed to the EPA or Secretary of the Interior or just another one of her alter egos?

Like A Tree Thats Standing By The Water We Will Not Be Moved: NYC Metro, Tri-State Support for Standing Rock Protest

In a national, coordinated day of action in solidarity with the North Dakota Access
Pipeline-#NoDAPL movement called by 350.org (the global climate justice mobilization organization) and Indigenous and environmental partners at the request of Honor the Earth, the Indigenous Environmental Network people from across the tri-state area headed for the district offices of the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers to demonstrate support with Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The Army Corps of Engineers granted the construction permits for the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Obama Administration still has the power to revoke the permits and stop the pipeline at any time. The protestors are part of a broader wave of action targeting decision-makers and stakeholders at every level, including banks that are funding the pipeline, politicians, and the mainstream media.
