In this week's episode of Back in the USSR I shift gears a little bit and talk about my own personal journey to becoming a communist and discuss what it means: how does a Marxist analyze and understand the world? How does a Marxist come to grips with seemingly contradictory ideas and phenomena? How do communists view nationalism and national identity? How does a communist understand good and evil? These are things not adequately understood by many people. This is show explores these questions.
Music by Marxman, Damien Dempsey, Natalie Merchant, Loco Locass, and The Decemberists.
