Phil interviews international lawyer John Philpot about the case of Paul Rusesabagina, who was illegally transferred from Dubai to Rwanda. Rusesabagina is a Belgian citizen with a US Green Card.
Canada is ducking its responsibility by merely asking that Rusesabagina receive a "fair trial." The main issue, according to Philpot, is that Paul Rusesabagina was kidnapped from the UAE to Rwanda. Proper procedures, such as extradition, must be observed. And it is unlikely that Paul Kagame's dictatorial government would succeed in an extradition request in any court in the world.
Of immediate concern is Paul's health, which is compromised by high blood pressure and recovery from cancer treatments.
