Under represented underground music from 1975 to 1999, the end of the century. What led to, and followed Songs from the Big Hair.

All the great punk from the late 70s, the Ramones, Dolls, early hip hop, and underground R&B of the mid-late70s, new wave through the 80s, and 90s, with Madchester, grunge, new jack swing, 90s techno, to the beginning of trance.
While we are officially here for the End of the Century Show, I’m doing a Stu’s Faves #12 show – a tribute to my older brother Stuart who died in 2011 and left behind an enormous collection of music, most of it obscure and completely unknown to me. I’ve been listening and sharing it on the radio once or twice a year and I usually host during Scott’s regular Monday night show slot. Got a special guest here today – Wallace Dietz – an old friend of Stuart’s who shared his musical sensibilities and the thrill of the hunt for more music including lots of jangle pop. It was really fun having his input on Stu’s musical taste and favorites and added another layer to the music outside of my rambling anecdotal stories I’ve told about Stuart over the years. We’ll have to do another show together one day! As always, props to Scott for doing all the techie stuff and being a DJ at this station so i even have this cool opportunity. “I’m one lucky lady” (according to Scott) Rock on!
